Biking nice Eddy Merckx broke a hip in a crash whereas bike using, Belgian media reported on Tuesday (AEDT).
The 79-year-old was biking with a gaggle when the crash occurred close to Hombeek in Belgium.
The Het Nieuwsblad newspaper stated the 79-year-old Merckx would endure surgical procedure at Herentals hospital, in accordance with feedback made by the household.

“Eddy simply skidded away,” she stated.
