Spymasters hardly ever say a lot in public, and once they do, it’s often a tightly scripted affair. That made this weekend’s joint look by CIA Director William Burns and Richard Moore, head of the British intelligence company MI6, each extremely uncommon and important viewing – or studying – for world leaders and policymakers. The 2 intelligence chiefs gave a collective sweep of the world’s world flashpoints, a joint evaluation of a second on the world stage that Burns referred to as “as sophisticated as I’ve ever seen.”
The venue was a discussion board hosted by the Monetary Occasions.
