The Canadian teen upset No. 6 seed and world No. 112 Sara Sorribes Tormo 7-6 (3), 7-6 (0) within the semifinals of Abierto Tampico on Friday in Mexico.
The 19-year-old Stakusic, ranked one hundred and fortieth on the planet, will face No. 5 seed and world No. 85 Anna Blinkova of Russia within the closing on Saturday.
Blinkova beat Vancouver’s Rebecca Marino 7-6 (8), 6-7 (4), 6-2 within the different semifinal.
